Natural Scented Vinegar for Cleaning
This super easy DIY will show you how to make scented vinegar for cleaning. Vinegar can be infused with fragrant ingredients to reduce the smell of white distilled vinegar, which is a cheap and nontoxic natural cleaner.
The recipe to make scented vinegar for cleaning is really very easy. In fact, you probably already have the ingredients at home.
Use a glass jar. It can be a mason jar. Or a recycled glass jar, such as a spaghetti sauce jar.
For pine scented vinegar for cleaning, stuff the glass jar with small pine branches. Using an old Christmas tree is perfect for this project. Or cut down pine branches from trees in your backyard or the woods.
You can use all of one kind of pine tree, or different types of pine varieties mixed together.
Cover the pine branches with white distilled vinegar. Here's a great list of what kind of vinegar to clean with if you're thinking of using another type of vinegar.
You can use pure vinegar to completely fill the bottle.
If you'd like a less acidic cleaning vinegar, dilute the vinegar by adding water. Consider adding half white distilled vinegar, and half water.
Keep the vinegar steeping for 2-3 weeks. Then strain the vinegar into a spray bottle and use like a normal vinegar for cleaning.
*The vinegar will be colored brown.

I use a lot of white vinegar when cleaning - and also to get odors out of laundry - the different scents should make using this a more pleasant smelling experience!
