Plastered to Paneled Entry

We moved into our new house in May. It's an older colonial style home. The previous owner had done a great job updating most of the house, but the entryway wasn't to our taste.
We toyed around with lots of ideas but finally decided to panel the entire thing, even the ceiling.
It was plastered and painted a sad gray color.
Since it was the "first impression" of the inside of our house, we made it a priority to update it quickly.
We couldn't be happier with the result.
It's definitely our style now and it seems a great deal more inviting than the previous look.
Our blog has more details as well as a look at the step-by-step process.

Phyllis on Aug 09, 2014Great idea, to cover old walls and ceilings with wood. Also Like to horizontal style. And love wains coating in a dining room, bathroom, kitchen, and entrance. Changes the whole appearance of it now. :)
