This post was kind of a two parter and the second part is a more focused view of the decor on wall that I styled. Most of the decor was either a hand-me-down, goodwill find, or a gift. All I did to achieve this look was used some of my own artwork or a little spray paint and some savvy bargain shopping. I will do my best to tell you what I bought where.
First, I will start with my antique octagon mirror. To see more of a backstory on how I acquired this mirror check out my post: 6 DIY Projects On My To Do List. I wanted to make this look a little more unified with my current aesthetic. I decided a spray paint makeover was the way to go.

4 Materials you will need: See it’s pretty simple and inexpensive. :)
After letting the mirror dry for an extended period of time, I peeled off the painters tape and then styled it in my accent wall collage.
But, this is what makes this exercise so successful.
Then comes the hanging portion of this exercise. You can do this a variety of ways. I chose to use a hammer, nails, cordless power drill, and screws because I am not afraid of a little spackle and sanding when I move out of this place.
As you can see, this was an inexpensive decor project.

Marion Nesbitt on Aug 16, 2014Like your "stuff"! Totally get it. A couple of my walls are full of holes as I add and rearrange. Will be repaired and repainted at some point. Just wondering why not do the mirror with the same treatment? My opinion only, but would have extended the items even closer to the light switch.
