  • Hi Mary, what kind of floor would you like? And what is currently on your floor?

We covered the vinyl flooring in the home we bought. We had a small budget for it . We used peel and stick , textured wood look vinyl planks . We couldn't be happier with it !!! It was very inexpensive under $14 a box which covered 15 square feet !

it was easy to cut and lay down . We now have it in the laundry room , both bathrooms and the kitchen and entryway ... It has been 2 years since putting it down and it has held up well .

Floating floors are also a good option.

I'd recommend vinyl planks. The cost is very reasonable and there's a huge selection these days. I've laid vinyl over top of vinyl and on sub flooring. It's very forgiving and easy to install. I've used kitchen shears to cut through the vinyl when you have curved cuts. It is much easier than using a utility knife. For end cuts use a small square to ensure you make straight cuts.
