BBQ Tool Holder: Father’s Day Gift
Each year I come up with a new gift idea for Father's Day. I went to the dollar store for some inspiration and came across some BBQ tools- that's it! Everyone loves a BBQ, and this would be perfect as a Dad'd Day gift.
Here's all the materials I picked up.
First, I built a small wooden board. I placed three boards tightly together.
And then used an anchor placed across the back about an inch from the top and about an inch from the bottom.
Then I nailed it into place.
Then flip it over, and sand it all down and smooth out the edges.
Next I sprayed some black paint sporadically over the board.
And again with some grey spray paint.
Then I dry brushed some white paint and I applied it to the cracks and made it looks a bit like wood grain.
I then dry brushed some grey paint on as well.
I then lined up the tools to see where I would want to place the hooks.
I also made a stencil using my Cricut and placed it at the top and sprayed it with white paint.
I then nailed in the hooks to hold the tools from. Just a knock at the top with a hammer and then it screws in nicely.
I stapled rope on the back to hang the sign from.
This is how it turned out! How awesome. Some tools did not have a hole at the top to hang from, so I added a bit of twine.
This keeps all of your supplies organized and makes a great summer gift!
