DIY: Boho Acorns for Fall
Enjoy some fresh fun Fall Decor with these DIY Boho Acorns. We used papermâché Easter eggs for this quick and easy craft. They are easy enough that the kiddos can be involved too! You can make a handful of eggs in less than an hour.
Check out this fresh take on acorns, with our Boho style using fringe and leather. The best part is it's quick, easy and fun! We also were able to create these acorns just using our stash of craft supplies, so it was FREE! In addition to this Boho style, we created 2 other styles of acorns that can be viewed on our website 2thesunnyside.com
Supplies:
- papermâché egg
- leather strap
- fringe
- large upholstery tack or button
Using hot glue, attach the end of the fringe to the more narrow end of the egg.
Continue wrapping and gluing the fringe around the egg until it covers about 3/4’s of the egg.
Cut the leather strip into varying lengths. Ours were about 1″ to 1/2″ Glue them around the egg on top of the last row of fringe. Repeat up the egg.
We trimmed some pieces to a point to fit in between the leather pieces. At the very top, with small pieces of leather, we filled in the recessed area so it would be level with the “leather fringe” we made. To finish it off, we placed a large upholstery tack on the end. If you don’t have one, a large vintage button would also be fun!
Wasn't that a fun and easy fall craft? We enjoyed creating acorns so much we also created 2 other styles of acorns as well, Farmhouse and Chic. If you would like to see how we made them click on our website 2thesunnyside.com
