Rustic Farmhouse Tin Can Christmas Craft
If you are looking for a DIY Christmas decoration or floral centerpiece to it your rustic farmhouse decor you will love this project!
The best part is how inexpensive this DIY is -- you can get almost everything needed from your local dollar store.
Save a large tin can from your kitchen, grab your hot glue gun, and get the rest at the Dollar Tree!
Start by gathering everything that you will need:
- large can
- hot glue gun
- decorative napkin
- Mod Podge
- foam brush
- floral foam
- ribbon
- floral sprigs
- Spanish moss
- twine
- embellishments (optional)
First, trim napkins to size of can.
Then use foam brush to cover can in Mod Podge.
Smooth the napkins on to the can. Apply Mod Podge over the top of the napkins, being careful not to tear them.
Set can aside to dry fully before moving on to next step.
Cut a piece of floral foam and place inside the can. Cut a piece of wide ribbon and hot glue it to the inside rim of the can. Add floral sprigs to fill the can, pushing them down into the foam base.
Then, add moss inside the can to fill it and allow some to fill out over the edges.
Add twine and embellishments, if desired.
Enjoy your beautiful DIY Christmas decor!
