Dollar Store DIY Christmas Tags
I wanted to do something a bit different this year with regards to my Christmas gift tags & because I love a good craft/DIY I thought I’d try to creat something using materials from the Dollar Store. This project is very easy & doesn’t cost a lot to do.
Here are the materials I used as well as a hole punch I already had on hand. Hot glue/gun, big gift card holders, small brown tags, Minnie trees, Minnie deer, & gold/silver sharpies.
I found these gift card holders with two different designs/sayings that come in each package. Each pack comes with 6 tags.
I simply cut the back side off of the gift card holder (& kept the front side with the design/saying). As you can see the back of the piece of card you will keep to use as your tag already has the “to” & “from” written on it. You could also just glue/tape both sides of the card & use the very back & personalize your own message.
I then punched a hole through the upper left hand side of the card to be able to attached string/jute through. This way you can attach it to a gift bag.
For the next DIY gift tag I took these small brown tags (each pack comes with 10 tags & jute) already pre cut & then simply glued these small deers to the front.
The pack of deers comes with a few different colours/ sizes (super cute!)
For the third DIY Christmas gift tag I simple used these little trees that already came glued onto a small clothespin & pinned it to one of the small brown tags. I then just wrote “to” & “from”, but you could write whatever message you want!
The fourth & final DIY Christmas tag idea that I did was simply take the green tree off of the clothespin & glue it to a brown tag!
I loved how all of these tags turned out! Very simple & something a bit different than regular Christmas tags. The best part is you can personalize them however you want.
I also used some of the clothespins left over from the trees & pinned them to the small brown tags that I added deer to.
The tags look even better on gifts!! & you would never know the material came from the Dollar Store! So festive & easy! Happy wrapping!
