Shoes, backpacks, jackets! All the stuff our families need everyday. Now instead of it being scattered throughout the house, organize your family's stuff with an awesome DIY mudroom organizer. Built as a standalone piece, it not only looks aesthetically-pleasing but keeps everyone's daily stuff organized and neatly tucked away in their own personalized cubby!

Since our mudroom cubby organizational system was going to be wall-mounted, we cut five high density composite fiberboards the length of each cubby and nailed them to the wall.
Use wooden table legs to fit underneath the cubby system as additional support.Add decorative wood trim to the top and bottom boards of the cubby.
If desired, decorate each individual cubby with peel and stick wallpaper. Small wall hooks were added to the back of each cubby, and two personalized jacket hooks were then added to the sides of each cubby. So each space had three hooks for bags, hats and jackets as well as a shoe catch all basket.

Our mudroom shares a space with our laundry room. Learn how I hid those unsightly laundry hookups with a DIY cork board.

I’m going to talk my hubby into doing this project. I need more shoe space so I am going to add 1x1’s on the top to keep the baskets neat and add a decorative trim under the 1x1’s so the baskets can slide off the top easily. Thanks for the great idea!!
