Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 solution of Dawn dish soap and vinegar. Spray it on the hard water stains and let it work. If they are tougher stains, you may have to scrub with a plastic scrubber.
Hello.
Where in particular or your hard water stains? I’m not sure if your question was cut off or not. Is it in your glassware on your faucets or in your toilet? I find the pumice stick works very nicely with toilet bowl rings.
Rephrasing the question or giving some additional information might help you achieve the best solution to your hardwater problem.
Thank you for your quick answer. My question was cut off. You answered my question!! I’ll try this product, I’ve tried so many different products with no success. Can I get this from Walmart, Home Depot.....?

It's not harmful to your health, but hard water does make soaps and detergents less effective. Your dingy tub doesn't have to be a permanent change; you just need to know how to remove hard water stains. If you're wondering how to clean hard water stains, you can solve the problem with several natural cleaners.
You can also try removing hard water stains with a paste made from baking soda and vinegar.
Finally, you can try removing hard water stains using lemon juice.
Dahlia: I don't know what surface you have... but check out Lime Away
As long as the water stains are not on granite or marble you can use this formula
Heat up 1 cup of white vinegar, mix in about 1/4 cup of Dawn Premium. Not the dollar store kind, because it is too thin. When mixed, pour into a spray bottle and fill with water. Shake. Spray down the grout and let it sit overnight. In the morning rinse. If you have stubborn stains, spray again. Use this mixture a few times a week. It will keep your grout and tiles clean. Also works wonders in the toilet bowl to keep hard water stains at bay. Oh you only have to heat the vinegar one time when you add the Dawn. Do not use anything that is citrus on granite or marble.
Try Lime Away. BUT check out what surface you're using it on first. Great for glass.
Remove hard water stains from where, or from what type of surface?
I have Kohler toilet and sink in the bathroom - spendy! I clean them with Barkeeps Friend and no other abrasive cleanser as they can permanently etch the porcelain.
Read the label. You don't want to inhale the dry stuff so always work wet. Finish off
the whole toilet with a damp sponge.
Some stains do not come out so easily so I use vinegar or lemon juice. For the toilet, I saturate a paper towel or 4 and fold them into pieces approx. 2" x width of towel. I then lay them against the stains and press so they make good contact. I leave them overnight, remove them, toss, and then scrub with a brush. If that wasn't enough to get rid of the stains, I repeat the whole process. DO NOT flush the paper towels!
I only have one bathroom or I would just use a spray bottle to apply more vinegar and leave it another full day with a "do not use" sign on the bathroom you're working on.
I clean the glass shower panels with lemon juice. I get in there with a green scrubby and bottle of lemon juice and attack everything and leave it for at least 24 hours. This lemon juice I mark for house work only.
Then I get in there the next day and before I shower, I rinse it down using the same scrubby. After I shower, I always squeegee off my glass and use an old kitchen terry towel to wipe down all the metal. Regular maintenance is the key. Takes time but more pleasant than heavier cleaning in the long run.
If you are renting or this is an existing house, the previous owners may have permanently etched the porcelain. In this case, there is nothing ultimately to be done for it except replacement.
If you have rust in your water, that's a whole different story and someone else will have to help you with that but I know there are whole house filters that deal with that issue.
Hope this all makes sense.
