What you clean with is determiend on what stains you might have on your vinyl. The only thing that worked for me to remove a sort of oily stain adjacent to spatters of concrete was turpentine. Not pleasant to use but it did the trick on those areas.

70% water, 30% white vinegar makes a great all-purpose vinyl siding cleaner that removes light mold and mildew stains. For a stronger solution, mix together one-third cup powdered laundry detergent, two-thirds cup powdered household cleaner, one quart liquid laundry bleach and one gallon of water
I like to use our pressure washer with Krud Kutter. I don't have to worry about it doing any damage to plants and grass, I've never had any issues.
What is your problem? Typically we use a pressure washer and commercial solution.
We did have an area high up house that was dangerous to get to and we used the fabulous product Wet N Forget with a garden house on the ground and it took away all the mold and mildew.
We were considering hiring someone to powerwash and the Wet N Forget effortlessly did the job!
Gallon bucket, 1/4th cup borax, 1/4th cup dish soap, 1/4th cup bleach, Hot water
If you have a power washer use some automotive cleaner degreaser.
If your house is just generally dirty on the outside then a power washer is the way to go. You can rent them at diy stores, of course buy one, and there are people and companies who will provide this service for you at a range of prices, some have a flat rate. You could consult your local papers and adds to see what is available and how much it will cost.
Windex works like a charm. Spray and wipe it off then rinse with a hose. I did the entire front of my house in no time at all. If you have a two story, wrap a towel secured with rubber bands around a mop or broom and use it to reach high areas.
You can get windex that screws onto a hose and use that to spray down your house! https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/how-to-clean-outdoor-windows/
Thank you all. Will try Wet N Forget and my power washer!
Pressure washer
I use a power washer on ours... no soap.
Home Depot sells a cleaner that you power wash it and it cleans the side
I always keep Wet it and Forget it for areas that get little sun, to prevent the return of mossy and green areas. Pressure washers are great, but use a long handle brush or broom to scrub tough areas. Simple Green is a great cleaner.
we use this to clean the vinyl siding on our house https://amzn.to/3d4GwoE
