Create your personalized design and transfer it to the freezer paper. Using scissors or a craft knife, cut out your design to create a stencil.

Make sure that when you iron your freezer paper stencil to your pillow cover, you have the wax side down on the pillow so it temporarily adheres to the pillow cover and stays in place while you paint.

Working in a well-ventilated area, protect your work area from overspray covering your work area with your drop cloth. 

It’s always best to test spray ColorShot on a paper or a piece of scrap fabric to familiarize yourself with the spraying process.

It is best to paint in a few light coats, rather than one heavy coat to avoid soaking your fabric and avoid paint bleeding under the openings of the stencil. Let each coat dry between applications. Always refer to package instructions before starting.

The paint will dry quickly, especially when applying lighter coats.

Once you have achieved your desired color and your paint is dry to the touch, slowly peel away your freezer paper stencil to reveal your design!

Let your pillow covers dry for at least 72 hours before washing, if desired. Insert pillow forms inside your fun new pillow covers and display proudly!
