2 Ways to Make a No Sew Face Mask
New CDC recommendations endorse using face masks when in public to help combat Covid-19. Many DIY designs are circulating that you can sew at home. Those needing something easier, or lacking a sewing machine, have used t-shirts, scarves, and bandanas — shown to be less effective than an N95-rated product, but still much more useful than nothing at all.
Here are 2 ways you can make a face mask with absolutely no sewing.
You'll need a bandana or other 100% cotton fabric and 2 pony tail holders or elastic bands
Lay flat and fold each end to the middle
Flip over
Do the same thing again - bring each end to the middle
Slide one pony tail holder over each end, about the 1/3 of the way in.
Fold each end over the pony tail holder toward the middle. Place one end into the other, pocketing one end into the folds of the other.
Pull on pony tail holders to adjust them into the correct placement
Slip the pony tail holders over your ears
Adjust the bandana to cover your nose and mouth, as needed.
Fold bandana in half
Fold in half again. Follow Steps 3 through 7 above.
Adjust the bandana to cover your nose and mouth, as needed.
These are not a medical - grade mask by any means, but if you’re an asymptomatic carrier of Covid-19, it can help reduce the spread of the virus. An additional suggestion to add a paper towel or coffee filter to its interior may also increase its capabilities.

Can you post this on Facebook so I can tag my daughter in that post. She lives in GA on an army base and can only shop at the stores on base but with a face mask. She has a set of twins that are almost 2.
What are the dimensions of the bandanna? I do not have a bandanna but have cotton material that I can cut to the size of a bandanna. Thank you!
