What are you painting? I understand it's honed porcelain, so it's dull and very valuable. Is it a tub, counter, sink, tile??? Realize porcelain is basically glass ceramic and paint cannot soak in for a permanent finish. Oil based paint will stick best if not a tub or sink. If it is use the epoxy tub paint . I really hope you can just clean well and won't have to paint it since it will ruin it.

Hi Malana. There are two basic types of paint used to paint porcelain. The first is a simple paint that is applied directly and allowed to dry. There are specialty paints available for ceramic and glass surfaces, or simple acrylics can be used. This is because porcelain is not a surface conducive to ordinary painting. Good luck Malana.
