When my one daughter lived in a dorm and then apartments, she use Command strips to hang wall hangings she took with her from place to place. They also make hooks and poster hangers to give a place a new look. We found a dowel supported by the large Command hooks could display panels, macrame, etc. Even curtains in a pinch. Every place she goes becomes home with a few key pieces that are showcased against neutral walls. Think about what you want the place to say about you, and pick your pieces. Even galleries use neutral walls to accentuate and showcase their art. Good luck and stay safe!
You can use a peel and stick wall paper. They are a temporary wallpaper that can be removed.
They have removable wall paper in every color scheme you could imagine. I love the wall paper from Urban Outfitters, but Amazon has a great selection also.
Hi Julie,
How about Posters or your own art or fabric or a piece of wallpaper - framed and use Command strips to hold on wall.
Removable wallpaper would be your best way to go. Contact paper would mess up the walls.
