How can you repair a Formica surface, if that is possible?
A small portion of the pattern is wearing off on the kitchen table, and I really can't afford to replace the entire top. Can it be painted? Can a new piece of that type of surface be cemented over the old one? Ideas welcome!

Hello could you possibly post a photograph to better see your situation and area of concern? I’m not sure the extent of your damaged I would think it could be touched up with acrylic paints to disguise and be sealed.

Hello Sherry,
If you are saying the pattern is wearing off, maybe you could colour it back in using Sharpie pens? I would suggest if the surface is wearing you should use a surface saver or maybe an oilcloth cover or Contact or special paint to cover it.
Best of luck!
