Hi Leisa, there are lots of posts here on mosquitos:

We plant marigolds in our garden and it really does repel them. We also keep a fountain in the pond so there's no standing water around.
I would double check that you don't have any standing water anywhere on your property. As long as the water is moving they won't lay their eggs in it. I have a pump in my horse's water tank that keeps the water moving and a little solar fountain in our bird bath as well. Makes a big difference!

I have luck this year with a citronella plant and lemongrass on my patio. It might cut down on them a little for you?
Two of these dramatically reduce the mosquitos on my property. https://amzn.to/3jxblWq

Have you tried burning a few citronella candles when you are outside? You could also try wearing lightweight long sleeves and pants if itโs not too hot. You can also purchase all natural mosquito repellent - I bought some on Amazon.
Mosquitoes hate moving air currents. Add an oscillating stand fan to the plants / ideas listed above, and you should have few to no mosquitoes.
Hi Leisa, you can make a mosquito repellent with coves and rubbing alcohol. Soak a bag of cloves in 1 liter of rubbing alcohol for a week. Strain out the cloves and add a 356ml bottle of baby oil. Apply as needed. You can adjust the measurements to make smaller quantities.
