Interesting question!
A layer of newspaper and then the cookie sheets. Sometimes hubby puts open boxes of cereal.
Hi Peggy,
Since you ask, I will tell you. I have a double refrigerator/Freezer and on top are 3 poly storage boxes with lined sheer curtains and pelmets I took down and washed, but have not yet decided whether to use them in another room or whether I should re-instate them in the original room. What's on top of yours?
I have cabinets over mine.
I have cabinets over it and a tray on the top of the refrigerator.
Bags of chips, corn puffs, etc.
We have a large decorate basket. My husband is tall and tends to throw everything on top of the fridge. The basket allows him to throw all his stuff in it and stay hidden from everyone else.
I keep bags of snacks in a basket (to keep them organized and less jumbled.)
A pair of cabinets to hide the mess, two rooster prints and a sign that says homemade pies! No dust and no clutter, but great storage and decor!
I store a couple of flat serving trays and then a fairly large faux succulent display.
I cut down a vinyl tablecloth from the dollar store so that when it gets dirty I just throw it away instead of washing. One tablecloth makes several fridge toppers. I have some pretty glass jars and some tin covered containers on my fridge. A little extra storage never hurts.
On top of my freezer I keep a basket for water bottles.
Cabinets and on the refrigerator itself, I have waxed paper to keep the top clean and have two red glass apothecary jars and a carved wooden rooster as decorations.
I have cabinets above my fridge. After getting a new fridge a few months ago we have less the 1/4 inch of clearance. But the part of the fridge that sticks out under the cabinet I keep egg cartons. I have free range hens to that is just the most logical place to store them.
Unfortunately, I have a cupboard right over mine. I wish it was a ledge or open shelf so that I could decorate it but space is limited so I don't want to remove the cupboard :(
We have an extra deep cabinet that is the depth of the refrigerator.
Extra depth cabinets to hide infrequently used equipment/holiday baking supplies.
Out of sight, out of mind until it's needed!
nothing, I got tired of cleaning and dusting it so I clean it every 6 months now and don't have to worry about stuff piling up on top
Cat treats in a red Mason jar. My kitchen is farmhouse and this jar came with flowers in it originally.
Basket of dish towels, pen/pencil container, a couple old green mason jars. Definitely not a wine rack since the top of the refrigerator is warm.
