In the process of building our own home. I have my Memaw's old enamel top table. the legs look terrible but have character. Has anyone made a fold down laundry table by repurposing a table top?

Hi Jennifer, definitely! I would give it a wood base and then add hinges. here's one: https://www.hgtv.com/shows/room-lab/diys/how-to-build-a-space-saving-wall-mounted-desk

DIY FOLD DOWN TABLE
Hi Jennifer! What a treasure! I so wish I had the one that my grandparent's had in their kitchen! I would remove the legs and add a very long piano hinge to one side. you can then attach it to the wall to lift it up and down. You can either then add a leg that holds in when it's down or just the bracket for the leg and pop the leg in whenever you put it up. Have fun!
What a great project to have ! I am adding myself to this question since I like to get some ideas too
Hi
You could use it in the Garden as a potting bench etc. Add new folding legs by adding
hinges on the tops of legs and folding under.
Pinterest has a ton of great ideas also, but here are a few I found for you:

you could clean then spray paint the legs and use it as a patio or porch table -
I haven’t done that. However you might try lightly sanding and spray painting with RustOleum spray paint in metallic finish.
You could try cleaning it up and use for an entry way table or a side table
I know just the table your talking about it would be a little heavy to do that it would make a great little kitchen nook with 2 cute chairs cute or in front of a window or out side
Whatever kind of fold down brackets you buy will need to be attachable to where the legs were.
You don’t want to drill into the top to thru-bolt it to the brackets.
I’d work on the legs, using the school glue crackled-paint method.
Changing legs is super easy .. few brackets that are drilled to the top and you are done
