DIY Front Porch Pergola
Every farmhouse needs a front porch & we built a beautiful white DIY front porch pergola for under $300 using some repurposed wood from our former backyard deck.
Our farmhouse has been screaming for a front porch ever since we moved in. While we have been making changes to the front of our farmhouse over the years like adding new lighting, rocking chairs, our pallet sign and new landscaping we still really wanted to add a front porch pergola
The first thing we did was take down the faux beam & siding that required the tall members of our family… def not Jason & I 🙂 to duck down before going through our front door.
Using pressure treated boards, we mounted one to the house to attach the pergola to. We added 2 more pressure boards to connect our house to 2 white front porch columns.
Using a table saw Jason zipped down a few boards to go across the top of the posts for a vine to climb through. We added them to the top of our pressure treated boards & columns. Lastly, we added some crown molding & pvc boards to make the pergola a little beefier looking & painted the columns & moldings white. We could not be happier with how our diy front porch pergola turned out.
