DIY Desk Organizer From Cork
Today we have a mini DIY for you again that can create order on your desk in the home office, but also looks good on the bedside table or on the dresser in the hallway or children’s room. You can often use a little organizer everywhere.
I assembled this small cork bowl in 10 minutes. For me it has just become the landing place for my camera or cell phone. Maybe it will soon end up on the changing table if I use it again in summer.
The organizer consists of a double-sided cork board. It is a slightly thicker cork fabric that is coated with cork on both sides. That makes it a little more stable and beautiful on both sides. You could also use normal cork or thick material like leather. I really like the cork material. It always feels nice and is also a vegan natural product.
- Cork fabric (double-sided)
- Precision knife
- Macrame cord
- scissors
- Hairpin
- ruler
- pencil
- 4 binder clips
First of all, you draw the measurements on the cork fabric with a pencil. I measured a rectangular piece measuring 30 x 30 cm.
Then cut the fabric straight out with scissors.
Now take the corners one after the other and clamp them tight with the binder clips.
Then you can poke a hole through the four corners with the precision knife.
Now thread the cord through the hole with the hairpin and knot it tightly. Simply cut off any excess tape and repeat this step for all four corners.
The little organizer is ready and ready to use for your odds and ends.
