Looking for a way to hang shoes up off the floor in the mudroom.
Hope this helps! https://www.instructables.com/Peg-Ladder-Shoe-Rack/
Here are a couple of ideas for you:
here is some info
we bought some inexpensive metal covered racks at home depot for $4 each and have them in our garage as you come in the door to hang our shoes on- they are off the floor and out of the way
Good ideas above. However, getting the kids to put them on the rack or other contraption is the first challenge.
I just saw this video. It may be beyond your skill or needs, but it it showed up on You Tube today.
check out this website she has a great tutorial
here is an idea:
All you need is a piece of plywood and some metal coat hooks. Screw the hooks into the board. Similar to this.
Metal peg board is much stronger then wooden peg board.
I really like Ken's idea of a storage bench. That way not only could you store shoes in that but they would be out of sight and each family member could have their own drawer for their own shoes.
It would also allow you to put all sneakers, boots or sandals in their own drawer.
Hi Mary: You can get a piece of wood about 3" wide, 1/2" thick and as long as you want it, and paint or stain it. Screw this to the wall studs and, using large staples, attach large binder clips to this. Then you can use the binder clips to attach the shoes/boots. Or, you can get some wooden dowels or pegs, drill holes in the wood the size of the pegs and glue them into the holes using Gorilla Wood glue.
Borrowing space from between the wall studs for shoe storage is a floor-space-saving idea.
Buy Dowelling and cut it to size and push in holes.
I imagine you could simply hang a large pegboard and add hooks. Hang the shoes, opening side toward the pegboard, one on each hook. Hope this helps!
