Dried Orange Wreath for Your Kitchen!
Dried orange decor is everywhere during the holidays, but why can't we use them year-round? I created this dried orange wreath to keep in my kitchen and not only does it smell heavenly, but it's also seasonless.
In this post, I’ll show you how to this pretty culinary wreath in only 15 minutes, tops.
You only need a grapevine wreath form, a hot glue gun, some dried orange slices, and (optional but recommended) dried bay leaves and whole nutmeg.
If you aren't sure how to dry orange slices, read my full post on how to dry them plus check out the two other decorations I made (instructions are included!).
Begin by gluing a single layer of oranges to your wreath form. Be sure to add the glue to the highest points of the slices (likely the edge of the rind), and press firmly to be sure the glue catches the wreath.
In my first attempt, I didn't pay attention to that and all my oranges fell off :(
Next, glue an additional layer of orange to the first layer, staggering them to fill the gaps and add depth.
Once you're happy with how the oranges look, tuck in a few bay leaves as accents. Slip the stems under a slice for the cleanest look, and try to imagine how they'd naturally grow from a tree to determine their placement.
Finally, glue a whole nutmeg at the end of two bay leaves for an unexpected accent. Plus, the smell. YUM.
And you're done! I absolutely love how this looks in my kitchen. I added it to my floating shelf display to shake things up. If you're in need of spicing up your shelves, I have a whole post dedicated to styling floating shelves specifically.

Can I use a dehydrator on the fruits? I don’t want to lose the smell

Yes, definitely! That would work even better than the oven.
