How can I fix carpet and tile transition?
I bought a house with carpet in the bedrooms and tile on the rest of the house. When I remove the carpet I found terrazzo floors. The entire house flooring is terrazzo, but the previous owner cover the main areas. The bedrooms don't have the “transition” from carpet to tile. I cant remove the tile because I don't have the money. Is there a way that I can fix the problem until I can remove the tile?

You can buy all sorts of transitions at your local home improvement store, metal ones, wood, marble. You might be able to fit one of those between or over.
You can put down a threshold made of a tile that matches or "goes with" the tile you presently have. I would recommend going to a tile store for the best selection.
Agreed with the other commenters they make several different kinds of transition materials. With what you have I would look into the rubber ones that are very low profile. You can get them in a variety of different colors too!
Here are instructions and suggestions for thresholds, both interior and exterior:

And you may want to rethink removing the terrazo tiles as they are having a huge comeback and quite expensive, I may add. You may already have a treasure in your hands and all you need to do is clean and buff it to make it look a million bucks!
All you have to do it remodel the existing carpet so that it accommodates the transition strip. As a rule of thumb, make sure to install the tack strip for the carpet about 1/4 to 3/8 inches from the edge of the tile. Cut the edge of the carpet so that it reaches the edge of the tile perfectly.

Hello. It might be possible to find threshold options at the big box hardware store . You might start there and investigate if there is one that will help level out your transition areas.

Check out your local independent flooring store. They have options that might not be available in big box stores. They will usually give you sound advice as well.
Clean the terrazo it is back in style. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, Floor and Decor or a carpet store and check out what they recommend for transition. There is a way to stretch the carpet to the tile with no extra pieces. Look up carpet installation
Hi Jessica. You can lay down a transition strip easily. You will have more choices and expert advice at a tile/carpet store. Take your measurements with you. They may cut them free of charge. Measure each doorway individually. They might not all be the same. Good luck Jessica and Happy Holidays.
Hello,
You can buy a Threshold strip fior the purpose from a Carpet or Flooring Shop.
You can purchase a threshold strip at home depot.
I would sand it and seal it with a wood sealer.
Are you wanting to have a proper transition from the carpet to the tile?
Yes, of course, you can use various materials for this, but this may not help you. It is much better to contact a carpet repair company. There they will be able to help you with your carpet problem.
I know that repairing carpets yourself is pretty tricky because I followed the instructions for repairing carpets myself.
There is a lot of information about this on the forums.
So far, I have used dazzlingcarpetrepairs.com.au several times.
They provided me with carpet repair services in a short time, and I received my carpet in excellent condition.
