What I do is turn the oven up to 200 degrees F, shut it off. Place a bowl of ammonia on a pan on plate (ovenproof) on a shelf of the oven. Let it set undisturbed overnight, in the morning remove the ammonia, plate, and racks and wipe clean.
Here's how I do it:

I rarely recommend something like this but Norwex oven cleaner is amazing. No scrubbing and no fumes. Other than that I used to scrub with an sos pas because of fumes or use marble paste.
Hi Kathleen, the way I clean my oven is to put a glass bowl filled with ammonia in my oven at night before bed. Leave the oven door closed overnight and the next morning remove the bowl and the oven is easy to wipe down. If you have lots of burned on crustiness, scrape those areas well with a spatula and remove that debri before using the ammonia process. The ammonia idea also works well to clean the grates on an outside grill. Just place the grates into a heavy duty trash bag, add about a cup or so of ammonia and close the bag well so no air can get into it; lay it flat for a few hours and let the ammonia do it's work. Remove the grates from the bag and rinse, rinse, rinse. Good to go! Dispose of the ammonia filled bag very carefully.

Hi Kathleen,
Place a bowl of hot water with washing Up liquid in and vinegar . Close the door and leave overnight. Remove in the morning and wipe it down. If that doesn't work, use an oven cleaner from the supermarket.
Here is a natural way to clean your oven. https://www.marthastewart.com/1062857/how-clean-oven
Spray a little vinegar: Put a little vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz everywhere you still see baking soda residue in your oven. The vinegar will react with the baking soda and gently foam. Do a final wipe-down: Take your damp cloth and wipe out the remaining foamy vinegar-baking soda mixture
My oven is self cleaning but if I need to go deeper I just purchase an oven cleaner from the grocery store.
