Hi Joye, you can unscrew the plug, turn the plug counter clockwise or to the left and it will unscrew right out from the drain hole

Hello, if it’s is a pop up mechanism it should be able to be unscrewed counterclockwise.

I found this out myself after calling in a Plumber to do the job for me. At the point where you turn the dial to lift or lower the plunger, there will be a Grub Screw. I believe if you remove that, you will be able to release the plunger. Hope that helps
Mine has a screw in the middle of the drain and once remove it can be pulled out.
