Hey Renee, could you post a picture of the outlet?
Renee,
It's probably not 5 prongs. The round hole in the middle is not for a blade/pin of the plug to go into. It just looks like 5 holes. If the 4 prongs on the plug match the openings in the receptacle (outlet), you are good to go. But, a picture of both your plug and receptacle would be helpful to make sure.
Hi Renee, this is something you will not want to force, dryers run on 220V and you want to ensure your plug is correct so as not to get electrocuted. Here is a video to showing how to change out the plug, better safe than sorry

Dryer outlets are usually 3 or 4-prong. Do you have a photo?
Hi! I had an electric dryer for years, including new ones from time to time. Installers tell you upfront, before delivery, that the installation won't be completed if the plug isn't the correct one, because it is illegal to modify or force one (and really dangerous). With the power off, the correct plug can be installed very easily. They aren't expensive, either. Good luck and stay safe!
5 prong connectors are typically found on boat trailers and they are linear. This is probably what you are not looking at concerning an electric dryer. A picture of both the plug and recepticale would be very helpful.

Dryers come in two types. One type heats by electricity, and one heats by gas. They both require electricity, so they both have plugs. However, the plugs for electric dryers carry electricity at a voltage of 220 volts, which is basically the same as 230 or 240 volts, so they have large, heavy-duty plugs.
Searched outlets around the world and cannot even find such a thing as a 5 prong outlet. They come in A thru O and all have 3 prongs max.
You might double check with the manufacturer or the store where it came from, sharing photos of the plug and outlet just to be safe.
Renee,
Are you in North America or in the UK perhaps?
Where are you wanting to plug the dryer in? (where exactly is the outlet that you are referring to as a a 5-prong?)
NO
No.
