How do I upcycle this old bathroom cabinet?
I am redecorating a half bath. I have this outdated cabinet and trying to decide how to update it. I don't need it for storage so I would probably like to remove the doors. The colors in the room are blue, aqua and french cream. Any suggestions? I know you all are brilliant!!

Hi Jan! removing the doors is a great idea! You could paint the inside a different color to add a pop to the room maybe a really bright aqua? Depending on where you put it you could install a towel bar underneath the shelf for more hanging as well as hooks on the sides of the cabinet for decorations.
It's really not an outdated style. I would paint it and use it for storing spices in my kitchen. Or paint it a color to accent your bathroom décor and hang it (with or without doors) for display.
I don't see it as an outdated style but removing the doors would definitely be great. You could distress it or paint it with a co-ordinating or pop of color. Use in the laundry room, kitchen, or craft area. Even a kid's room for a display of small toys like hot wheels.
Just a new coat of paint and fabulous knobs would make it look great!
Maybe not a good idea, but could you turn it upside down and sit it on a chest in bedroom or craft/dining room..painted of course, May have to put the knobs in the middle but what a nice place to display something in the shelf part.
Hang behind toilet and utilize for supplies and maybe use a picture of an aquarium with fish inside as the backing to go with the coastal look. Roll-up wash cloths and stack in triangle, place extra rolls of t-paper in there, if shelf available keep a First aid kit , q-tips, flashlight and some cotton balls in there. You never know when you need those things and if you keep them in a certain area, viola they are within reach in case of an emergency!
If you removed the doors and put a fun wall paper or contact paper on the back it would really dress it up. Perhaps painting the hardware (knobs) would help also.
Paint it maybe remove bottom shelf and add a towel bar
Sounds like you want to use this then as a decor piece - assuming still in that bathroom? You could paint the inside walls an aqua that matches the color scheme and use some decor items like these to fill up the space? https://happydealhappyday.com/budget-decor-bathroom-floating-shelves-toilet-decor-idea/
I like that cabinet and would hang it above the potty. I would not remove the doors because then you can use it to hide things like deodorant, shampoo, soap or even wash cloths, etc. I would use a coordinating color from the color sample, either lighter or darker to paint.
You could take the doors off and use it as an open shelf in a living room or bedroom
Hello. I thought this repurpose was brilliant.
I hope this helps.

You could paint and distress it like in this tutorial: https://do-daddy.com/how-to-antique-furniture-with-paint-and-stain/
You could always sell it and buy a new one that you like
Thanks everyone for the great ideas!
Well, I am late to this party but I see using this to house hair care products. First flip the cabinet and use the now top shelf for some sort of decor item. Then, depending on the depth of the cabinet, maybe use it specifically for extra shampoo, gels and maybe house a blow dryer, curling iron, combs and brushes, or other hair related items.
Hanging bookshelf, open face shadow box.
Hello, you could use this in your laundry room or a craft room!
