Is there a way to fix chipped bathroom sink?
The chip is not incredibly deep, but noticeable since the material underneath the white is dark. It is located inside the bowl of the sink. Is there anything I can use to fill or cover it up and have it hold even when exposed to water?

There are kits you can get that will help. https://www.familyhandyman.com/project/how-to-fix-a-chipped-sink/
Hi there it does depend on the material of the sink. If its Corian or man made "stone" they make kits specific for filling in chips. If its marble here's some ideas:

If it's porcelain, you can buy porcelain paint to touch up the chip.

Hello, you can buy a porcelain repair touchup at your local hardware stores, as easy to apply as nail polish.

You can purchase porcelain touochup "paint" at a hardware store. It usually coms in a small bottle with brush included. If you are very careful and apply several layers of it to just the chipped area, your sink and let it dry well between each coat, your sink will soon look as good as new. Once complete, the repair holds up very well to water and normal use.
You can fix it with CA glue. Which is Super glue, but not the kind you get in the Dollar Store. Go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Clean the chip out and let it dry. Since it is dark underneath, dab a little white nail polish in the area. Let dry completely then fill the chip with CA glue. Let dry. When thoroughly dry, spray with alcohol, then take a straight edge razor at a 90 degree angle and gently scrape the excess glue off.
Hello,
Sounds like enamel sink. That is a glass sort of compound on top of metal. May need a specialist for this one.

What about white appliance touch up paint? Though getting the color just right can be tricky.
It all depends on what the material the sink is made from. There are patch kits available depending. You could also swing by a Habitat ReStore for a new-to-you sink for less than new if it’s too complicated or won’t turn out well.
Hi there, you can use Bondo (the putty/paste used to patch dents in cars) to fix the chip. You can get it in a variety of colors.
You can use a putty paste of any kind.
