You could put an indoor/outdoor rug over it or a room size piece of sheet vinyl that you tack down at the edges. When you move, you can just take it back up.
I would layer an indoor/outdoor rug over top of it.
Another vote for a rug! Find a big one and you’ll hardly see the old carpet. :)
You could put another rug over it I have done that
Call Attention to your Ceiling
Drawing the eye upward helps make the carpet less noticeable. A chandelier is an ideal option.
you could paint it but not sure the landlord would like that - I would cover it with a couple of rugs
I would try perhaps cleaning the carpet (you could rent a carpet cleaner) and then put an area rug over it.
Put a nice rug on top of it and you won't notice it as much1
You could layer an area rug on top
Is the carpet that is in there now an odd shape? Could you get an outdoor area rug to cover it up? Then you can just take that with you if you move out.
Another vote for a rug too! If cost is an issue definitely check out your local carpet stores for remnants that are inexpensive!
Hello,
Fix down a Drop cloth and paint that to suit your style, or buy a large Mat to cover it.
If you can toss down a rug or two over it, that will go a long way to refreshing the space.
