It is interesting you should ask this question, I have a friend who has 4 dogs and 2 were in the chewing phase of life and totally destroyed their doggie door. He got disgusted with fixing it and reinforcing it. His solution was to get rid of the doggie door altogether and his dogs now go out the way most dogs do.

Okay, for replacing I would suggest measuring what you have. Be sure to get one that locks when you don't want it used. When we removed ours, we bought two wood panels from Lowe's to cover both sides of the door. Best wishes!
