You could just get a deck tent like this: https://amzn.to/3aL7hyL
This post may help you. You could make the cover she has shown and then secure it. I would use a Sunbrella fabric or another made for outdoor uses. You will probably need to seam it if you want it larger than 54" wide, which is what most fabric measures. Then I would add grommets at the corners and hem the edges so they don't fray. It might be cheaper to purchase a premade cover. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/build/q-how-do-i-secure-a-patio-cover-39149703
How do I secure a patio cover?
Hi! A sail type shade would probably be the simplest. You can attach the corners with bungee cord or even clothesline to higher points. Good luck!

Have you thought of a sun shade?
Buy a ventilated shade screen tarp from Harbor Freight.
Build a frame from PVC plumbing pipe, paint it and determine how you will anchor it or keep it weighed down. Zip tie the shade screen’s grommets to the PVC frame.
In the pic, the PVC posts are set in old paint cans full of concrete.
Hello,
Use a Bed sheet, Fix it to uprights.
I would not recommend using a bed sheet. The noise of the fabric whacking up and down in the wind most likely will drive you crazy (if it doesn't rip and tear away before.) The weave of the average bedsheet is not nearly strong or dense enough to be used for this purpose.
Are you looking for ideas on making a deck shade cover that is permanently attached to the house or deck structure, or one that can be put up and taking down often, as weather permits?
Pinterest has some inspiration for you:

Shade sails are great for this. They do need to be attached very securely though.
