Scandinavian Style Doodle Flower Decoration
This is a fun virtually free craft for anyone to make and this bunch of flowers would make a lovely handmade gift. I love flower crafts as I think they make wonderful decorations. One of the most popular crafts on my site is my beautiful map roses (see them here).
This time I have made a doodled flower decoration.
What you need for this craft is some watercolor paper, craft wire, a branch stump, a black pen, and some watercolor inks.
The first thing I did was to doodle some Scandinavian-style flowers onto the watercolor paper. You can draw your own or download mine for free from my blog (link in bio at the end).
Another option is to use flowers from adult coloring book pages.
I drew six different doodle flowers in total. I then painted them with watercolor inks in pinks and reds.
I then got my branch stump, I used a bit of birch tree about 6 inches high and 3 inches wide.
Whilst the inks were drying, I drilled six holes into the top of the branch stump. You could use a wood slice instead.
When the ink was dry I cut out each flower with scissors.
I then cut a length of craft wire and stuck it to the back of each flower, using washi tape.
To finish off I then stuck each flower wire stem into the tree stump. This decoration certainly brightens up my mantle and goes very well with the fabric flowers I made out of old bedsheets (see here).
