Hello I favor Rustoleum metallic spray paints additionally I do like rub and buff and acrylic washes to add a layered aged patina.
I switched this thrifted frame from gold to silver to match my satin nickel lighting and door hardware in my new homes construction.
Yup. Rustoleum 2X spray paint. I suggest antique gold. You can dry brush paint for aging or a 50/50 mix of water and paint. Use a cloth to wipe off as much paint to get the effect you want.
Actually not to many paint companyās make gold you should look to see who has it in stock try Home Depot.

RustOleum Metallic paint line would be my best recommendation. If it is too bright, you can add a glaze to darken or antique the finish.
This blog rated lots of different gold paints. Go take a look https://www.chrislovesjulia.com/quest-for-the-best-gold-spray-paint/
Rustoleum gold metallic may work well for your frames. Then if you want to highlight any scrolly work or designs, you can rub on a glaze and wipe off to your satisfaction.
I always like to top my gold with a little antiquing glaze. It darkens parts of the paint and adds such dimension. Just wipe a little on and off with a rag where you want to add that look.
that gold that you have is already beautiful .. I would just use some white brushing and gilding gold wax to get nice antique finish to them
There are many gold colour paints available, Use an antique wax over the top, or use either brown or grey or black to create the dirt of age look using a dry brush method.
