Custom EyeGlass Artwork Carved Table

I used half of a vintage table to start off this custom carved hallway or console table.
With the help of some General Finished milk paint and a dremel, I created this custom-carved table.
My handy dremel with a flex shaft and burring bits made this table possible.
The legs came from another table at some point in the past. I picked them up in an antique booth not too long ago.
I added a back piece to the table top to give it an edge for placing against a wall or maybe a sofa.
Lots of attention to detail was given in the paint distressing.

Reminds me of the original Great Gatsby cover art watching over the scene.

Ha! Funny how high school literature can link us together from different parts of the country like nothing else: young readers as well as those that have been out of school for 25 yrs or more. Wonder how many authors stay around as long? Your glasses are an unusual tie go the book which as an older reader I appreciate. Fitzgerald was more than the glitz that many remember from his most famous work. Thanks for the memory spark.
