An Old Outdated Lamp Shade...no More!

Do you ever have a hard time throwing things away? I do, and this lamp shade was a perfect example. I just couldn't chuck it. It was old and outdated and it's life as a lampshade in my house was over. Surely I could use it for something, but what?
I have seen all sorts of things turned into light fixtures. Bowls, baskets, various random objects (that I can't think of presently), it is sort of a fun fad right now. I thought, why can't I turn a lampshade into a bowl or basket? You know, the reverse effect.
And as they say...the rest was history. I turned my lamp shade into a fun and unique basket with the help of an old screen divider, and some paint can handles.
Let's just say I am in love, and sure glad I didn't throw away my lampshade.

My old outdated lamp shade...that I couldn't throw away.
My lampshade now stripped, and an old screen divider that provided my wood.
Measuring wood to be cut.
Using a scrap of wood and paint can handles to make a basket handle.
