My daughter uses a futon with a metal frame as her bed, but the frame became bent, and it was killing her back, so we gave her a different one, and planned to take the old one to the landfill.
I hate taking anything to the landfill, if there's any possibility I can find a way to use it for something else, and the more I walked by that metal frame, the more I realized there HAD to be some great repurpose for it!
A salvaged board, 2 brackets, some paint and a piece from an old take measure, where all that was need to turn it into an amazing shelf - WITH a chalkboard!
See all the details and more of my repurposed projects at Knick of Time.
