Vintage Feed Sacks Become Cafe Curtains

feed sacks used as cafe curtains
I cut my feed sacks to the size I needed for my windows then rolled the edges under and hemmed on the sewing machine. You do not have to hem the edges, but could leave them raw for a more rustic look, or hem with iron-on hemming tape.
Because I had shelving on one side and a cabinet on the other, I screwed in eye hooks to hold picture wire. I added curtain clips to the feed sacks, then slid them onto the wire then pulled tight to each eye hook and wrapped the ends.

Anita these are lovely, thank you for the inspiration I found six coffee sacks in a charity shop last year but wasn't sure whether to make cushions or use them for upholstery now I will definitely be trying out your idea, thanks again.
