I decided to venture away from traditional Halloween decor this year and make it a little more colorful. I found some sugar skulls and new that would add the pop of color I was looking for.
It’s a little hard to get a good picture of the fantle because it is right next to the front door. You get natural light streaming in, but doesn’t brighten up the top shelf as much.
Yes, I turned a flea market black purse into a vase using some Dollar Tree flowers to get in all the colors of the sugar skulls. You could also hang this on your door replacing a wreath.
All of these skulls, pumpkin, and RIP tombstone are Dollar Tree finds. I just embellished them with a little paint. The “EEK” frames were a deal as well.
This bottom shelf is a lot of what I had last year. So go out and hit up your local Dollar Tree and find some crafts you make for the Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas holidays. Wow! I can’t believe I’m already tying Christmas. It will be here before we know it.
Enjoyed the project?
