DIY 2x4 Entry Way Table

I have been searching high and low for 2 year for a entry table that would fit in my long, odd shaped entry. I didn't want to spend very much and wanted to refinish whatever it was that I found. I have had no luck. Seriously, Craigslist and Facebook selling groups failed me big time in this area.
I needed something tall because I have really high ceilings. I needed something rectangular, because of the little wall that it is slid up to. And I needed something cute and unusual.
This is the weird nook in our entryway
So by taking a few 2x4's, a little time and energy we were able to complete our first build completely from scratch with not a lot of money spent. A win-win I think!

This build was also very easy, because we only needed to make a couple of changes from some plans found on Ana White's website for a bench. We adjusted the height and the width, but left the length the same.

Total cost for the project less than $20 dollars, plus a few supplies from on hand.

Not too Shabby.

Plus, 1 year later we are still getting a ton of comments on it!

I love the table and the cost! Plus I could adjust the table size to my own dimensions. My adorable bench could slide under this perfect table. Now if I only had an outlet for the lamp to plug into.
