Glass and Gold "HOME" Sign

I adopted some tall beer glasses from my sister when she moved and I was trying to think of a fun way to use them in my living room decor. I decided that, using my sharpie paint pen, I would create a fun and versatile welcome sign. With four glasses I had 4-letter words on the mind, and I decided to go with HOME.
The first step was squaring off the space for the letters on each glass and making sure that all the letters lined-up. So, I used a level and some masking tape, created a straight line of tape across all four glasses, and then cut down between them to create four pieces of tape. I did that for the top and bottom rows.
Then, I just wrote the letters in using my gold sharpie. I could have used a stencil or vinyl lettering, but I decided to do it freehand. Some paint did bleed under the tape (that's what I get for not securing it more carefully - lesson for next time!), but before it dries completely, it's still wet enough to remove with a damp Q-tip.
For now, it's arranged next to my dried-up wedding bouquet, but I like that I can change it around in the future, by adding shells, marbles, tea lights, flowers - really anything!

This was a quick and fun DIY, and it was free!

Let me know what you think :)!
