Faux Fireplace
Before- Stuck in a dilemma! Unfinished fireplace...holiday party...in 2 days!
Cut some faux flames out of construction paper!
Flames!
After cutting several out of red, orange and yellow, I adhered them to the black, and blue construction paper that I had already Modge Podged to the wall.
Modge Podge Matte
Cut out rocks and logs, used all of my sons school paints, sharpies and crayons, to create dimension and texture.
Adding details!
Created mantle with white paper Modge Podged to board. Made details with Sharpie, and softened lines with a watercolor wash. Thumbtacked felt shockings to add a festive touch!
Finishing touches!
This faux fireplace made a great backdrop for our families ugly sweater party!
