DIY dining room table

We made this using legs we took off a table we bought at an antique store for $25, then painted them black. The boards are applewood planks taken out of the old Santa Fe Railroad box cars that carried wine. They already had a lovely hue from years of stains, so we just poly'd them. They are 2" thick and weigh about 100 lbs each. Top is screwed directly to the legs with 4 1/2" black screws. Love the feel and history!
