Dresser Top Accessories

The accessories on one side of our master bedroom have been bugging me forever, so this week I decided it was time to do some rearranging over there. I started by removing everything off of the wall and clearing everything off of the dresser. I needed a clean palette so I could think straight. I don’t know about you, but clutter makes it hard for me to think! Then I hung the mirror above the dresser ans started trying out different accessory arrangements on the dresser. Here is what I came up with…
It’s a lot simpler than it was before, but I’ve been feeling the desire for less lately. Less stuff, less clutter makes me feel less anxious.
If it wasn't something useful or something I loved, it got removed from the room.
I love this old toolbox we have and since I’ve been needing a jewelry box, I decided to turn it into one.
Ahhhhhh, it just feels so much more peaceful now.
In my opinion, the simpler you keep your accessories, the better it looks.

The colors you chose are so fresh looking, and calming. Unless that toolbox is sentimental just like it is, maybe try the shabby chick suitcase in the projects below. The rest is inspiring. Where did you get that interesting lamp shade, i need that. You got just the right balance of not too feminine or too masculine for a master bedroom. Nice!
