How to paint Cane Back Chairs

Recaptured Charm
by Recaptured Charm
My mother had these chairs forever. She didn't want to part with them but wanted a fresh look.. something lighter. The fabric was in great shape, but the wood chairs needed a lift. The wood was actually cracked in some spots and needed to be filled before painting. With some careful preparation, paint and glaze, these chairs will be loved all over again for years to come.
The pair of chairs are light and fresh without the need of new fabric
The brown glaze really brings out the detail that was missed in their original finish
