Mason Jar Paint Storage

Happy Monday y'all! I've seen this type of paint storage all over blogland in the last few years. When we discovered this weekend that many of our paints had frozen and been ruined we were SO.BUMMED. They needed to all come inside ASAP, but where to put them? I turned to my Pinterest boards for inspiration and came across an old IHeart Organizing post where she put all her paints in mini ball jars - I had found my inspiration! I also hit up the blog Cheltenham Road for the super easy printables I used on top - why reinvent the wheel?!
Make sure the top is on tight and shake each can before pouring into the mason/ball jar.
In our area we don't have hazardous waste disposal but you can't throw them out wet. So we had to sit them in the sun to dry for a few days before we can properly dispose of them safely.
And that's it guys! I have a section of the basement/craft room that will be devoted to paints, but its not ready yet. In the mean time until it IS ready we're storing them in our laundry room. Nice and warm and out of the way. We have a weird nook that's kind of unusable as is (see below).
So for the time being it houses all of our extra paints that we could salvage! We had to throw away SO much which I'm ridiculously bummed about :(
Check back with me next month as I move these babies into a fully organized painting hutch in my craft room :)

Love this idea!!! So the paint does not dry up or form a paint layer on top? So many great uses for mason jars!!!
