We needed 2 new lights to hang over our hand me down farmhouse table. Naturally everything I really liked cost more than I was willing to pay.
That's when I came across these cuties at Ollies for $12.
I then took the lighting unit out of these crazy ugly lights given to me by my best friend. (you know you have a good friend when she saves you these!!)
I spray painted the lights an off white, flipped the basket upside down and attached the light inside. Then you hang them like you would normally hang a hard wired pendant or chandelier.
Attach the lid to the bottom with some really thin florists wire.
Enjoy! To see a more detailed description of how I did this head on over to Always Never Done. here is the link. http://alwaysneverdone.com/2015/03/chicken-wire-basket-turned-pendant-light-fixture/
They throw off great light and at night the chicken wire creates really cool geometric shadows on the walls and ceiling.
Enjoyed the project?
