DIY Room Divider Made With Bookcases

I work from home and the only space I had for a home office was in my living room. I needed storage for my office and I also wanted to separate it from the rest of the living room, so I came up with this idea to make a room divider using bookcases!
I started off with Billy bookcases from IKEA to build the base of the room divider. I attached them together at the front with screws.
I covered the back with 1/4" plywood that I had cut at the hardware store (I had the plywood piece cut it half so it would fit in my car!).
I primed the plywood and covered it with wallpaper and then built the top portion with 1"x4" to fit over the bookcases. I screwed it place and covered the rest of the bookcases with more wood boards to even out the surface.
I love having all that storage in my office and the fact that it's out of sight from the rest of the apartment. Now I have a more separate office that doesn't feel closed in! You can see all the steps of the building process in the video.
