90 Minutes
Easy
The perfect large rustic clock for wanting to get lost in a great book. It doesn't keep time. Plus I can set any time I want. The spindle hands move.
The clock was made from a broken vintage wood washstand. I was inspired by the round frame and one of the spindles.
The washstand was given to me so the cost was free! I spent about 90 hands on time. *So the clock says* Lol!!
At some point I might add a clock mechanism. Might!

Broken pieces of a vintage wood washstand.
The spindle cut for hands
The spindles were sanded flat in areas so the hands would turn smoothly.
I cut strips of 1 by 2 boards for the clock face. The wood was left raw except for a light brushing and buffing with liming wax. That's a short white wax.
I sanded the round frame removing the finish and left it bare. I bolt holds the hands in place.
I printed flipped numbers on freezer paper to rub on the clock face.
I like the wash out look.
Right now it's hanging over our mantel.
