Have you seen the Anthropologie sewing kit in a mason jar? Simple and convenient… maybe a little expensive. But isn’t everything at Anthropologie? It’s one of my favorite stores even though I don’t own very many of their things. But I do get a lot of inspiration from them.
First step, cut a circle out of a vintage linen scrap and run a gathering stitch around it.
Layer the fabric, batting, and the mason jar lid. Then pull the string tight and tie.
Fill it with vintage sewing supplies! I have a tomato pin cushion, thread, hook and eyes, scissors, thimble, and even a darning egg!
I stamped "SEWING KIT" on a shipping tag with my favorite alphabet stamp and tied it on with jute. Read more of the details on my blog!
